In cases where information about you is disclosed to Designated Parties, any information shared is limited to your profile, career plan and career matching quiz results. A party may only be a Designated Party in the following circumstances: (i) Your (i.e., User’s) approval and designation of a parent and\or guardian to your student profile, career plan or career matching quiz results; (ii) schools, organizations or affiliated teachers who purchase an ESS membership on your behalf.
Ordering: When ordering services online, ESS will request certain information from a User to complete an order. The User’s information will include name, address, telephone number, email address, payment information and other information as may be requested by ESS in the order form. This information is used for communicating with you, billing purposes and fulfillment of orders.
Security: When Users are asked to enter certain sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or social security number), the foregoing information is encrypted and is protected through a secure socket layer (SSL). SSL negotiates and employs the essential functions of mutual authentication, data encryption and data integrity for secure transactions. While on a secure page, such as an order form, your browser shifts into a locked (i.e., secure) status, as opposed to unlocked, or open, when you are viewing other websites.
All User/visitor information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted to ESS developers and other qualified employees (such as customer care representatives). Finally, the servers on which ESS stores personally identifiable information are kept in a secure location.

Special Cases: It is ESS’s policy not to use or share the personal information about visitors or Users in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses. However, ESS may disclose personal information about visitors or Users, or information regarding your use of the services or websites accessible through our services, for any reason if, in our sole discretion, we believe that it is reasonable to do so, including: to satisfy laws, such as the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, regulations, or governmental or legal requests for such information; to disclose information that is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be violating our acceptable use policy or other ESS policies; to operate the services properly; or to protect ESS and our customers.
